Skill values, attribute requirements, weapon compatibility, socket progression, quality, corruption outcomes, later resale value, and availability of a particular active skill depend on the selected level, your character, the current patch, and the destination economy.

PoE 2 Uncut Skill Gem
An Uncut Skill Gem is the currency item used to engrave an active Skill Gem in Path of Exile 2 or raise an existing compatible Skill Gem to the level shown on the uncut item. It lets you choose an eligible active skill from the gemcutting interface instead of receiving a pre-engraved random skill.
This page is for direct item delivery rather than gem farming. Choose level I, III, V, VII, IX, XI, XIII, XV, XVII, XIX, or XX, select Runes of Aldur or Standard with Softcore or Hardcore, and set a quantity from 1 to 50. CarrySquad confirms stock before arranging the in-game trade.
Choose the Correct Skill Gem Level

The highest item is not automatically the right purchase for every character. The selected Uncut Skill Gem determines the level of the active Skill Gem you create or upgrade. It does not add quality, create a corrupted level 21 gem, unlock extra support sockets, or bypass weapon and attribute requirements.
How Uncut Skill Gems Work
Right-click the item to open the engraving interface, then select an eligible active skill. If you already have a compatible Skill Gem, the uncut item can raise it to the item's level. The selected Uncut Skill Gem is consumed during this process.
Uncut Skill Gems can drop throughout the game, with their level tied to area progression. Current item data separates levels I through XX into individual base items. Official version 0.3.0 also enabled Uncut Skill, Support, and Reservation Gems on the Currency Exchange, so these items are tradeable rather than account-bound.
Active Skills, Support Gems, and Spirit Gems
Active Skill Gems provide abilities your character uses directly and are managed in the Skills panel rather than socketed into equipment. Their requirements and behavior can depend on attributes, weapon type, current balance changes, and the exact skill selected. Support sockets and Support Gems are separate from the delivered item.
An Uncut Skill Gem is not an Uncut Support Gem or Uncut Spirit Gem. Support Gems modify compatible skills, while Spirit Gems create persistent skills that reserve Spirit. Use this product only when your gemcutting menu or current build plan specifically calls for an Uncut Skill Gem.
League, Mode, Quantity, and Delivery
Select the exact destination economy before ordering. Runes of Aldur and Standard are separate choices, and Hardcore stock is confirmed independently from Softcore. Quantity applies to one selected level: one unit means one unengraved Uncut Skill Gem.
Delivery is completed through an in-game trade. Provide the correct character name, join the agreed party or meeting point, and keep enough inventory space for the order. For several levels in one request, place separate selections or contact support before checkout so the breakdown and stock can be confirmed.

Should I always choose level XX?
