Expertise Leveling raises your Expertise Level in The Division 2 to the target you set on the slider, played by hand on your account. CarrySquad guarantees the Expertise Level target. Raising the Grade of individual items is a separate step you choose yourself, and it is not part of the order.

  • Main service target: your Expertise Level, raised from where it is now to the level you set. The slider runs to 30, the game’s current cap, from 5 levels per order.
  • How the level grows: per Ubisoft, Expertise Level comes from Proficiency Ranks, which you earn by using an item, brand or gear set in combat, or by investing resources into researching it. At the maximum Proficiency Rank you become Proficient with that equipment.
  • What the level does: the number of times you can raise the Grade of items you are Proficient with equals your Expertise Level. A higher Grade raises an item’s base stats, for example base weapon damage.
  • Cap: Ubisoft set the maximum Expertise Level to 30 in The Pact update. If Ubisoft changes it, the slider follows.
  • Account-wide: Expertise and Proficiency progression is shared across your account, not tied to one character.
  • Planning rule: Prototype upgrades need an item at maximum Expertise level, so Expertise comes before Prototype Gear.

Description

The Division 2 Expertise Leveling Boost

Expertise came with Title Update 15 as a way to develop the performance of your gear, weapons and skill variants. It covers weapons, brands, gear sets, named items, Exotics, skill variants and specialization weapons, and you manage it in the Expertise tab of the Recalibration Station in the Base of Operations or the Haven.

The system has three linked parts. You earn Proficiency Ranks with a piece of equipment by using it in combat or by researching it with resources. Reaching the top Proficiency Rank makes you Proficient with it, and that raises your Expertise Level. Your Expertise Level then sets how many times you can raise the Grade of the items you are Proficient with. This order buys the middle part: the Expertise Level.

The grind is long because every level needs more Proficiency across many items. Ubisoft capped the maximum Expertise Level at 30 in The Pact, to give gear a clear upper limit and make it easier to invest in a wider variety of items. Expertise also matters for Prototype Gear: per Ubisoft, an item must be at maximum Expertise level before it can be upgraded to Prototype.

The service suits returning agents catching up, players preparing items for Prototype upgrades, and anyone who wants the account-wide bonus without months of grinding. Standard orders are played by hand on your account; Play with our team is an optional add-on. Note that in Conflict, Ubisoft removes Expertise bonuses for every player.
