The Heirloom Catalyst adds a perk that makes direct hits with charged shots apply Scorch to targets. With the Catalyst, Heirloom also gains increased damage against certain enemies when landing those charged hits, turning it into a much stronger add‑clear and single‑target option.
How to Unlock the Catalyst
To even become eligible for the Heirloom Catalyst, you first need to complete “The Way Between” quest that is tied to the Equilibrium dungeon and its hidden relic/puzzle chain. Finishing this quest unlocks the dungeon’s loot focusing system at the Praxic/Equilibrium temple area, which then lets you select an option to focus for the Heirloom Catalyst.
How the Catalyst Drops
Once you have unlocked loot focusing and specifically focused the Heirloom Catalyst, it is added to your drop pool for Equilibrium dungeon encounters. Many players report that the Catalyst often drops on the very next encounter completion after focusing, but it is not officially guaranteed, so repeated encounter clears may be required
