Description
PoE 2 Choir of the Storm Jade Amulet
Choir of the Storm is a unique Jade Amulet for critical-hit builds that want an automatic Lightning Bolt and a direct answer to enemy Lightning Resistance. This page delivers the completed amulet by trade on Runes of Aldur Softcore, avoiding the restricted Xesht drop without turning the order into a boss run or an uncertain loot attempt.
The offer is intentionally one item with no quantity package. Numeric rolls, item level, granted-skill level, catalyst quality and corruption state can change the value of an individual copy, so the trade window remains the final check for build-specific requirements.
Current Choir of the Storm Modifiers
| Property | Current behavior | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Base and level | Unique Jade Amulet; requires level 55 | Make sure the character can equip it and can replace the current amulet slot. |
| Dexterity | +10–15 Dexterity | Inspect the exact roll if the build uses it to meet attribute requirements. |
| Lightning Resistance | +50–100% Lightning Resistance | This is a wide range; confirm the delivered value against the rest of the build. |
| Resistance interaction | Critical Hits Ignore Enemy Monster Lightning Resistance | The modifier applies to critical hits; non-critical damage does not receive this benefit. |
| Granted skill | Triggers Lightning Bolt on Critical Hit | Check the Lightning Bolt level shown on the actual item and whether your character meets its scaling requirements. |
How the Lightning Bolt Trigger Works
A successful critical hit can trigger the Lightning Bolt granted by the amulet while a cooldown use is available. Current mechanics give Lightning Bolt a 0.5-second cooldown, and the current version has five cooldown uses. This supports rapid critical-hit play, but it is not the same as an unlimited extra cast on every hit: available uses and recharge still matter.
The triggered Lightning Bolt cannot trigger itself when it critically hits. Current records also classify it as a triggered skill, so relevant triggered-skill damage scaling can apply, while the Bolt cannot be used to generate Energy for another trigger loop. These boundaries matter when comparing an ordinary crit build with an older loop or automation guide.
Skill Level and Character Requirement
Current patch behavior lets uniques that grant skills use the lowest skill level whose requirements the character meets, scaling upward toward the maximum described by the item as higher requirements are met. Choir of the Storm now has a level 55 equip requirement, while current item records can show Lightning Bolt across a level range rather than one universal value.
For that reason, this service guarantees Choir of the Storm and its current modifiers, not one exact Lightning Bolt level. Check the granted skill on the delivered copy and confirm a specific target with CarrySquad before ordering if the build planner depends on it.
Build Use and Roll Priorities
The amulet is most useful when the build reliably produces critical hits and deals meaningful Lightning damage. The resistance-ignore modifier helps critical hits remain consistent against monsters with Lightning Resistance, while the triggered Bolt adds a separate source of Lightning damage. Spell and attack setups can both value the trigger if their hit rate, critical chance and damage scaling support it.
The 50–100% Lightning Resistance roll is also a major gearing variable. A high roll can free resistance pressure elsewhere; a low roll may require compensation on other equipment. Dexterity is a smaller range but may still decide whether a gem or equipment requirement is met. Compare the actual amulet against the full build rather than judging only the triggered skill.
Choir of the Storm occupies the amulet slot, so it competes with rare jewellery that could provide Life, Spirit, attributes, damage or other resistances. Builds that do not crit consistently, do not scale Lightning damage, or need the amulet slot for core defenses may gain less from it.
Acquisition, Corruption and Quality Limits
Choir of the Storm is a drop-restricted unique from Xesht, We That Are One. It cannot be created with an Orb of Chance, and the public drop probability is not disclosed. The order provides the finished item directly; it does not include Breachstone preparation, the Xesht encounter or ownership of loot from a boss kill.
The configured item is non-corrupted. A corrupted implicit, foil presentation, exact item level, maximum modifier rolls or a particular catalyst quality are separate stock questions rather than automatic parts of the base purchase. Catalyst changes and future patches can also affect how an individual copy should be valued, so verify every displayed property before completing the trade.
For other direct-trade upgrades, browse the PoE 2 items section. If you want to obtain the amulet through its encounter instead, review the Xesht, We Who Are One service.
PoE 2 Choir of the Storm FAQ
Does Lightning Bolt trigger without a critical hit?
No. The amulet trigger is tied to a critical hit and also depends on an available cooldown use.
Does the triggered Lightning Bolt trigger another Lightning Bolt?
No. Lightning Bolt cannot trigger itself from its own critical hit.
Is a level 20 Lightning Bolt guaranteed?
No. The usable skill level depends on the actual item and the requirements your character meets. Confirm a precise target before ordering.
Is the Lightning Resistance roll always 100%?
No. The current range is 50–100%. The exact delivered roll is visible in the trade window.
Does this include a Xesht kill?
No. This is direct delivery of the non-corrupted amulet. The boss encounter and its other loot are separate.
