Description
Maps are the backbone of Path of Exile 2 endgame. You open a Waystone, clear the map and take what drops: currency, items and the Waystones that open the next tier. The Maps Boost clears the number of maps you pick, anywhere from Tier 1 to Tier 16.
What a run is worth
- Loot. Currency and items dropped in the map are yours.
- Waystones. Maps drop the Waystones for the next ones, so a run feeds the following run.
- Atlas. Finished maps are how the Atlas fills with the content that leads to league mechanics and pinnacle bosses.
Three tier bands
- Tier 1-5. Early maps, the quickest way to get currency flowing on a fresh character.
- Tier 6-10. Mid-tier maps, where the Waystone drops start to matter.
- Tier 11-16. High-tier maps for characters that can stand in them.
When it makes sense
