Description
Vandal is Marathon's combat anarchist Runner shell. Bungie describes Vandal shells as able to "traverse ground at incredible speeds, using their advanced movement and knockback cannon to disrupt combat". It is one of the six shells Marathon launched with on March 5, Bungie introduced it in its January Runner Shells dev insights, and it got its own shell cinematic on June 17.
Vandal's kit
- Movement. Advanced movement for covering ground at speed.
- Knockback cannon. A tool for breaking up fights and pushing enemies out of position.
Mastery in the Codex
Each Runner shell has its own Mastery challenges in the Codex, Marathon's record of achievements and narrative discoveries, and Codex progress earns exclusive cosmetics and lore. Vandal's set is Safe!, Bloop!, Pull!, Up Here! and Hello There!. Up Here! is tied to kill distance: Bungie fixed it for certain distances in April.
Pairs well with Destroyer Mastery and Assassin Mastery.
