Destroyer Mastery
Rewards
Each option is one Destroyer Codex challenge with its own price, and you get the challenges you select. One challenge does not complete Destroyer Mastery: to finish the whole Destroyer set, select all five.
- The Where There's Smoke Codex challenge, with Where There's Smoke
- The Rundown Codex challenge, with Rundown
- The Close the Gap Codex challenge, with Close the Gap
- The Escape Under Aegis Codex challenge, with Escape Under Aegis
- The Oh Yeah Codex challenge, with Oh Yeah
Description
Destroyer is Marathon's combat specialist Runner shell. Bungie describes it as "armed with a personal defense barricade, missile systems, and movement thrusters", a shell "designed to bring the fight to enemy threats".
Destroyer in the Codex
The Codex is Marathon's collection of achievements and narrative discoveries, and its progress earns exclusive cosmetics and lore. Each Runner shell has its own Codex challenges built around its kit.
- Close the Gap. Built around the Destroyer's thrusters: Bungie's patch notes tie it to downing a Runner after a Thruster activation.
- Where There's Smoke. Another Destroyer Codex challenge named in Bungie's patch notes.
- The rest of the set. Rundown, Escape Under Aegis and Oh Yeah complete the Destroyer challenges listed in the options above.
Why it matters
Non-seasonal Codex challenges keep their progress, including partial progress, across seasonal resets; the exceptions listed by Bungie cover Runner and Ranked levels.
Pairs well with Vandal Mastery and Assassin Mastery.
