Description

Superblack is the deepest black shader in Destiny 2. It pulls every armor piece down to near-black and leaves trim, buckles and engravings as faint grey lines, so your Guardian reads as a silhouette with sharp edges. When the shader arrived with Into the Light in 2024, Bungie's announcement put it in one line: "Claim this coveted shader, adopt a timeless look, and vanish between the stars."

Most shaders fight the colors an armor set was designed with. Superblack simply erases them. A raid chestpiece, dungeon boots and an Exotic helmet that never matched suddenly look like one outfit, and the shape of the gear takes over: capes, collars, horns, long coats. It is the shader for a build that should look planned, not assembled from whatever dropped last.

It has never been easy to come by. After Into the Light it returned for Festival of the Lost 2024, and now it sits in the Monument of Triumph, Bungie's final live service update for Destiny 2. The Tenet of Sacrifice sells it for 25 Legendary Marks, and Marks are earned through Monument of Triumph Triumphs, so wearing it also says you put in the hours. Once unlocked, it stays in your Collections and works on every class.

For the opposite end of the palette, Chatterwhite is the off-white shader from the same Monument, sold by the Tenet of Death. To finish a dark look, the Einherjar Coronet puts a burning gold crown on top of it, and the Legendary Marks Farm covers the currency.
