Guaranteed Exotics unlocks the Pinnacle Ops Exotic weapons you select. Every weapon you tick is a guaranteed result: the order is complete when it is unlocked on your account. Add Unlock All Catalyst and Traits and the team keeps running the mission until the catalysts and intrinsic traits of the selected weapons are unlocked too. Other mission loot, such as Pinnacle Ops gear, materials and currencies, follows Destiny 2 rules.
- Main service target: any combination of Choir of One, Wolfsbane, Barrow-Dyad, Dead Messenger, Vexcalibur, Slayer's Fang, Dead Man's Tale, Wish-Keeper and Whisper of the Worm, $15 per weapon.
- Upgrade route: Unlock All Catalyst and Traits adds the extra runs needed for the catalysts and intrinsic traits of every weapon you selected in the order.
- How the game hands them out: Exotic missions are Pinnacle Ops, and since Update 9.7.0 their Exotic rewards are awarded on activity completion. The Whisper joined Pinnacle Ops in the same update.
- Planning rule: select every weapon you need before checkout. One order lets the team plan all the missions together instead of one at a time.

Pinnacle Ops Exotics Unlock Service
Pinnacle Ops is the Destiny 2 endgame category for three-player fireteams, and it is where the Exotic missions live. Bungie lists The Whisper, Presage, Vox Obscura, //node.ovrd.AVALON//, Starcrossed, Encore, Kell's Fall, Derealize and Heliostat among them. Update 9.7.0 changed where you find them: the Portal screen is gone and Ops now sit at the bottom of the Director, the Exotic Rotator is retired in favor of the Pinnacle Ops versions, and The Whisper now awards its Exotic on completion.
Each weapon has its own mission, and catalysts and intrinsic traits come over further runs. That is a lot of separate work when you want several of them. Exotic Reward Details
In Pinnacle Ops, an Exotic mission is where its weapon, catalysts and intrinsic traits come from, and since Update 9.7.0 the Exotic rewards are given on activity completion. The difficulty and modifiers you choose in Pinnacle Ops also shape the rest of the loot: the higher the difficulty, the better the gear, Power and currencies, though Bungie notes not all of it is guaranteed.
Important Reward Rules
- The selected Exotic is guaranteed. Each weapon you tick is the result of the order: it is done when the weapon is unlocked on your account.
- Upgrades need the add-on. Without Unlock All Catalyst and Traits, the order covers the weapon unlock only. With it, the team keeps running until the catalysts and intrinsic traits of the selected weapons are unlocked.
- Extra loot is RNG. Pinnacle Ops gear, materials, currencies and their rolls are decided by the game.
- Access comes first. Some Exotic missions open only after you own or progress the related content, so the team checks each selected weapon on your account before starting.

Where are these missions in the game now?
Since Update 9.7.0 the Portal screen is gone. Ops live at the bottom of the Director, and Exotic missions are listed under Pinnacle Ops; some can also be launched from their destinations.
