Description
DMZ leveling in Modern Warfare 4 runs on its own track, separate from the 1–55 Multiplayer ranks. It goes from level 1 to level 70, and only DMZ XP moves it: Story Missions, Dynamic Operations, Side Ops and other deployment activities.
What the track unlocks
- Stations. Your Forward Operating Base starts small. New stations open as you level, and the 3D Printer upgrades them.
- 3D Printer recipes. The gear you can craft from Printer Resources and ingredients you exfil with.
- Operator skins. DMZ-specific looks from the level track.
- Survival Kits. Deployment, Triage, Armor, Equipment and SERE kits that stack in their own station until you need them.
- Fire Support. Killstreaks you bring into the Exclusion Zone.
Why it is slow
Every level is real deployments, and a run can end early if a squad catches you before exfil. DMZ XP does flow the other way: it also counts toward your 1–55 player level.
Season 1
Season 1 opens a new location, X01, a weapons facility you deploy into through Hajin, with new Orders and events like Threat Briefing and Resupply Run. A higher DMZ level means a better-stocked FOB going in.

- DMZ Mastery Camos. Chiral, Ripple Tide and Helio.
- Base Camos. DMZ kills count toward the shared camo grind.
