Description
Base camos are the long middle of the Modern Warfare 4 camo grind: Military and Special camos on each gun, then the Completionist set of Gold, Platinum, Harmonic Break and Divergence. Every Mastery camo sits behind them.
How the ladder works
- Military. Eight per weapon, unlocked by weapon level. On the Han 86 they arrive between level 10 and level 65.
- Special. Three per weapon, with challenges like double kills, mounted kills, longshots and headshots. Once earned, each one joins a shared pool for all your guns.
- Gold. After all Military and Special camos on a weapon: 15 eliminations in a single Multiplayer match, or 100 in a DMZ match.
- Platinum. Gold on every weapon in the class, then a class challenge. Assault rifles ask for 50 headshots against players in Multiplayer.
- Harmonic Break. Platinum on 33 weapons, then a class challenge such as 25 double kills for assault rifles.
- Divergence. Awarded for completing 33 Harmonic Break challenges.
Why it takes so long
Platinum is gated by a whole class and Harmonic Break by 33 weapons, so one weak gun holds up everything behind it. DMZ counts too, but its challenges ask for more kills because AI enemies count there.
One grind for every mode
Modern Warfare 4 has a single weapon camo grind shared across all modes. Finish a challenge in Multiplayer or DMZ and the camo is yours everywhere, and from Season 1 Warzone joins the same track.
After Divergence
- Multiplayer Mastery Camos. Mercurial Drift, Polyatomic Reforged and Orion Reforged.
- DMZ Mastery Camos. Chiral, Ripple Tide and Helio.
