Description
MIDA is one of Marathon's six factions, alongside CyberAcme, NuCaloric, Traxus, Arachne and Sekiguchi Genetics. Its agent is Gantry, and its jobs lean loud: Bungie's own example is MIDA asking you to blow up a UESC dropship.
The MIDA upgrade tree
Every faction has an upgrade tree with capstone rewards you earn each season. As you rank up with MIDA through its contracts, the tree opens new perks, Armory stock and implants.
- Implants. Each faction has its own family of head, torso and leg implants. MIDA's are built for mobility and disruption.
- Capstones. MIDA's final Capstone grants ANTI_VIRUS.EXE: two minutes of Anti-Virus protection at the start of a run.
- Resistances and stock. The tree also covers explosive, ballistic and volt resistance and extra Armory stock, as listed in the options above.
After the Nightfall Refresh
On October 6, the Nightfall Refresh reset Faction levels and restored faction upgrades to their default state. Rank reputation requirements were reduced for the shorter release. MIDA and Traxus also supply Ordnance Heist rewards from November 10.
Pairs well with Factions Leveling and Traxus Faction Upgrades.
