Description
Contracts are the jobs Marathon's six factions give you on Tau Ceti IV: CyberAcme, NuCaloric, Traxus, MIDA, Arachne and Sekiguchi Genetics. They are how you build reputation with a faction and climb its ranks, and each one sends you into a zone with a specific objective, such as MIDA asking you to blow up a UESC dropship.
Standard and Priority
- Standard contracts. Faction work outside the story chains. Some faction upgrades pay extra for them, such as NuCaloric's Capstone II, which grants patch kits and shield charges per completed standard contract.
- Priority contracts. Each faction's story chain. Since Season 2, Priority Contracts no longer have a faction rank requirement.
- Solo and duo play. Some contracts give bonus reputation when completed solo or in duos.
After the Nightfall Refresh
The October 6 reset took faction levels and Priority Contracts back to the start for everyone, and Bungie lowered the reputation needed for each rank to fit the shorter release.
