Marvel Rivals Avengers: Endgame 50-Player PvE Mode: Schedule, Rules and Rewards
Path to Doomsday – Avengers: Endgame puts 50 players against Thanos. Session times, how matches work and the free Captain America costume.
Marvel Rivals has a new limited PvE mode. Path to Doomsday – Avengers: Endgame puts fifty heroes on one battlefield against Thanos and his army, loosely recreating the final battle of Avengers: Endgame. It is free to play, it only opens during scheduled sessions, and taking part earns you a free Captain America costume.
Below: when the sessions run, how a match plays out, and what you can earn before the event ends.
Event period: October 22 – November 26, 2026, 09:00 UTC.
Mode starts: October 24 (UTC), then runs on a weekly session schedule for 4 weeks.
Headline reward: Captain America – Captain America: The Winter Soldier costume, free.
Session schedule
The mode is not available around the clock. NetEase lists three two-hour sessions for the opening day and says the mode returns for limited times each following week on the same schedule.
| Session | Time (UTC) |
|---|---|
| Session 1 | October 24, 01:00–03:00 |
| Session 2 | October 24, 10:00–12:00 |
| Session 3 | October 24, 18:00–20:00 |
Convert the times to your own zone before you plan around them. Session 1 falls on the evening of October 23 for players in the Americas. Check the in-game mode menu each week too, because NetEase can adjust the slots.
How a match works
- Fifty players, one enemy: everyone in the lobby is on the same side against Thanos and his forces.
- Pick a hero and wait for the portals: you choose a hero, enter the map and join the fight once the portals open.
- Thanos fights in phases: his attacks change as his health drops. Early on he relies on his double-edged sword. Later he calls in his fleet for bombardment across the map, and according to the in-game rules he also uses the Infinity Stones for crowd control.
- The final phase is a race: according to the in-game rules, Thanos prepares to snap, and the whole lobby has to burn him down before time runs out.
- Respawns and hero swaps: according to the in-game rules, if you go down, you respawn after a short delay and can switch heroes while you wait.
- MVP: the in-game rules say the player who lands the final hit on Thanos in the last phase is named match MVP.
- Bot backfill: according to the in-game rules, if matchmaking times out, AI heroes join to fill the battle.
- Adjusted kits: the in-game rules note that some hero abilities are tuned specifically for the 50-player format, so expect them to feel a little different from Quick Play.
Tips for a smoother run
- Queue early in the session: each window lasts only two hours, so start as soon as it opens.
- Keep moving: with fifty players on screen, Thanos's area attacks are easy to lose track of. Dodging matters more than squeezing out extra damage.
- Healers are always useful: keeping allies alive keeps damage on Thanos during the timed final phase.
- Save burst for the end: per the in-game rules, the last phase is timed, so having your strongest tools ready for it pays off.
Rewards and extras
- Captain America – Captain America: The Winter Soldier costume: free, earned by taking part in the event. NetEase also mentions "other rewards" without listing them in the patch notes, so check the event page in game.
- Times Square screening: watch the Avengers: Endgame highlights in the Times Square viewing area for two minutes straight to unlock the Gallery Card – Avengers: Endgame.
- Times Square photo op: take a group photo with the NPCs at the photo walls outside the Avengers' Gift Shop to get 100 Units.
