How to Get Reckless Oracle in Destiny 2
Reckless Oracle has two current versions worth telling apart before you join a farming group. If you want to craft it, head to Garden of Salvation. If you’re chasing the Pantheon perk pool, start with Consecrated Mind in Pantheon.
The name on the gun won’t help you choose between them. Here’s where to go for each version, and how to turn the Garden weapon’s red borders into a crafting Pattern.
Pick the version you want
Start with the roll you’re after. Garden and Pantheon Reckless Oracle have different origin traits and perk pools, so farming one won’t necessarily get you the combination you saw on the other.
| What you want | Where to start | Version identifier |
|---|---|---|
| The craftable weapon and its Pattern | Garden of Salvation: Summon the Consecrated Mind | Photoinhibition |
| A roll from the Pantheon perk pool | Pantheon: Consecrated Mind | Elliptical Orbit |
Chaos Reshaped is a useful example. It appears in the current Pantheon version’s right-hand trait column, but not in the craftable Garden version’s pool. Unlocking the Garden recipe won’t add that Pantheon perk to your crafting choices.
Already have a Reckless Oracle in the vault? Open it before planning another farm. An older Garden copy may predate the reprise, and its name alone won’t tell you which perks or crafting options it supports. You may also find that the roll you own already suits what you want to do.
Where to get the Garden version
You want Summon the Consecrated Mind, the second encounter in Garden of Salvation.
There’s an easy checkpoint mix-up here. The next encounter is Defeat the Consecrated Mind. If a group listing only says “Consecrated Mind,” ask whether it means Summon or the following boss fight. You’re looking for the second encounter’s loot, not the later boss chest.
A full raid run will take you through Summon, or you can join a group starting there. If you book a Garden of Salvation run, choose the full clear rather than the Sanctified Mind checkpoint, which skips the encounter you need. For the mechanics, our Garden of Salvation walkthrough covers the raid itself.
Choose your farming window
If you’re working toward the Pattern, a featured Garden week is worth looking for. Featured Standard raid encounters offer Deepsight weapons or Tier 5 armor; non-featured Standard encounters have a chance at Deepsight. You’re still drawing from the encounter’s loot pool, so a clear can leave you with something other than Reckless Oracle.
Hawthorne is another stop to consider. Garden’s Revenant reprise introduced a weekly quest awarding a Deepsight weapon. See what she currently offers and what the quest asks of you before counting it toward your remaining progress.
For a normal roll, you can start comparing traits as soon as the gun drops. For crafting, keep track of your extracted Deepsight progress instead. Those are different stopping points: a roll you like may arrive before the Pattern is finished.
Where to get the Pantheon version
For your first Pantheon Reckless Oracle, target Consecrated Mind.
Choose a Pantheon activity containing that fight. When Consecrated Mind is available as an individual featured encounter, you can target it that way too. Use the activity selection in-game for the current rotation rather than planning around an old calendar.
Make sure any guide you follow covers the 2026 Monument of Triumph Pantheon. The original 2024 event had its own rewards and structure. The newer version includes reprised weapons with a unique origin trait, holofoil variants and weekly individual-boss rotations.
Once you’ve acquired the weapon, the vendor at the end of a multi-boss activity offers rerolls of acquired items. Start at Consecrated Mind for the initial drop, then use those rerolls to keep chasing the combination you want. For help with a Reckless Oracle farm, choose the number of Pantheon copies you want and add the collection unlock if you haven’t obtained it yet. More copies give you more rolls to try, not a guaranteed perk combination.
For the crafting Pattern, stick with the Garden route. Getting the craftable Garden item through Pantheon hasn’t been confirmed, so don’t plan your Pattern farm around it. A holofoil appearance or a higher gear Tier won’t tell you that a copy carries Deepsight.
Finish the Garden crafting Pattern
The Garden Reckless Oracle Pattern needs five units of Deepsight progress. Start by looking at the progress you already have. If you’re partway through, you only need to fill the remainder.
When an eligible red-border copy drops, open the weapon and claim its Pattern progress. You can also get that progress by dismantling the Deepsight copy. If it’s a roll you’d like to keep, use the inspection option and hang on to the gun.
Once the Pattern is complete, head to the Relic in the Enclave and shape your Reckless Oracle. You’ve unlocked the recipe; this is where you make the crafted copy and choose its available components.
If you haven’t started crafting before, the opening Witch Queen missions that introduce it are free to all players. Specific weapons can have their own ownership requirements, so follow any requirements shown for the recipe you’re trying to shape.
When a drop leaves you stuck
You have several copies, but no Pattern progress
Open the Pattern and look at the remaining progress, then look at the copies you’ve collected. The useful distinction is whether they had Deepsight and whether you extracted it. Five ordinary drops aren’t five completed Pattern steps.
You unlocked the Pattern, but there’s no crafted gun in your inventory
The next stop is the Relic. Completing the Pattern unlocks shaping; it doesn’t place a newly crafted copy in your inventory. If the recipe shows another requirement, resolve that before making the weapon.
Your desired perk isn’t among the choices
Return to the version comparison. A perk available on the Pantheon weapon may be absent from the Garden recipe. If you came for that specific Pantheon roll, more Garden Pattern progress won’t solve the problem; switch your farm to the version that carries it.
