Fight for Honor in Call of Duty: Warzone 2, Season 2

Call of Duty: Warzone 2’s second season has been going strong. Running from February 15th to April 11th, the season brings with it plenty of additions and changes to Warzone. From new maps and new mechanics to returning game modes, there’s plenty to keep players new and old entertained.

Let’s head out to Ashika Island, located somewhere in the Pacific ocean. The “Isle of the Sea Lion” is the latest map added to Warzone 2, and one that comes with its own mechanic. Once per match when an operator dies on Ashika Island, they will drop a dog tag. After respawning, they can ‘Restore Honor’ by retrieving their dog tag. Doing so nets an operator a cash reward and a UAV ping on their location, revealing any supplies or enemies in the area. And there very well may be enemies about, as opponents may lie in wait around a dog tag to spring an ambush.

But a map is useless without modes, and Season 2 is replete with them as well. Resurgence has returned for Solos, Duos, Trios, and Quads. In this mode, every time someone dies, a timer starts. At zero, they rejoin the fight. The further into the round, the longer this timer becomes, until respawning is completely frozen. The timer can also be shortened if a teammate completes objectives. Operators only truly die when their entire squad has been eliminated, so be sure to head towards safety if you’re low on teammates.

In addition to Resurgence, 1v1 Gulag has also returned to the game. The jailer is no more, and the map has been edited to better fit this version of the mode. However, the prize remains the same: a coveted second chance. The variety of weapons has greatly increased this time around, so you may want to check your equipment as you begin your match. But be wary of taking too long, in 1v1 a Gulag match can be over in a blink of an eye.

Even more is being added to the season as it goes on. From a new Modern Warfare II exclusive DMZ faction to a long list of events hosted on Ashika Island, and of course, there is also the Path of the Ronin, a series of seven challenges operators can complete during the season. With so much to do, players are sure to be sated for the rest of Season 2’s run, which lasts until April 11th. See you on Ashika operators!
