What the DLC adds
Ubisoft calls Echoes of Central Park the darkest, most disturbing DLC in The Division 2 so far. It is set in the summer after Warlords of New York, in the Upper West Side and Central Park, an area of Manhattan that has stayed sealed off since the outbreak. According to the Echoes of Central Park showcase, the map is roughly twice the size of Battle for Brooklyn. You can play it solo or in co-op, and for the first time in The Division 2 the story is told as a flashback, with a narrator guiding you through her version of events.
On the Ubisoft Store the DLC costs $19.99 and the Deluxe DLC $29.99. Both include a boost to Level 40 for characters below it and extra stash space. Deluxe adds three outfits inspired by the companions and a skin for the new Exotic weapon. Pre-orders also received the NY Purifier Mask. The DLC is available on PC, PlayStation and Xbox through the Ubisoft Store, Steam and the Epic Games Store, and with Ubisoft+.
Campaign and companions
The story starts with a distress call from Miranda Veer, CEO of Veer Corp. Agents are sent in to rescue her, an unknown threat stops the mission, and you have to find out what is really happening in the park before you can take up the fight again.
- Route. The campaign takes you across the Upper West Side, from Lincoln Square to the Dakota District, with missions in some of the area’s best-known landmarks, while you investigate Central Park.
- Companions. Brayleigh Callahan (Sniper), an MIT graduate and Olympic shooting medalist; Elwood Franklin (Protector), a former mall cop who wants to join the NYPD; Morse Feeney (Assault), a first-wave Division agent with a mysterious past. They only fight once you help them face their inner demons, and their trust unlocks combat abilities.
- Skills. Six new skill variants, such as Corrosive Trap and Gas Bomber, earned by defeating the forces in the park. You can bring them back into the main game.
- Replays. Assign a different companion when you replay missions; each one reacts to the situation differently.
If you would rather skip the missions and keep your evenings, an Echoes of Central Park campaign run covers the story on your account.
The Ratel and gear
The DLC introduces a new Exotic weapon, The Ratel, and a new gear set. Ubisoft’s launch post lists both among the new gear you can earn in Echoes of Central Park, but as of November 4, 2026 Ubisoft has not published how The Ratel is obtained, its talent or the name of the gear set. Treat any promise of a guaranteed Ratel drop with caution. We do not promise it: our campaign and endgame services cover the missions and runs, and drops follow the game’s loot rules.
If you are after an Exotic rifle that is already in the game, you can order the Steel & Sons ACR: we run the Broken Rain Incursion on your account until the rifle drops. Per Ubisoft’s TUY8S2.3 notes, the rifle is exclusive to Broken Rain and drops by chance: one roll per character per week from the final reward chest, plus a chance from bosses on repeat runs.
Endgame
After the main campaign, Central Park becomes a replayable endgame. When you first enter the park you are hunted prey: no GPS, a constant flood of enemies and an unknown threat stalking you from the shadows. As you learn more about the threat and collect gear, you return as the hunter and take the fight to the predators. Per Ubisoft’s launch post, results matter: do well in an encounter and you receive exclusive rewards, do badly and you carry a disadvantage forward. Add companions who give different battle buffs, and no two runs play quite the same. As of November 4, 2026, Ubisoft has not published the mode’s name, difficulty levels or reward list.
If you want the runs played for you, order Central Park endgame runs: 1 or 3 completed runs on your account, from $29. A run that fails is replayed at no extra charge, and drops such as The Ratel are not promised.
Get ready fast
- Below Level 40. The DLC includes a boost to Level 40, so you can start the campaign straight away.
- Gear. Completing an Escalation mission rewards Escalation Tokens. Per Ubisoft’s TUY8S1.2 notes, you exchange them at the Escalation Requisition Vendor for Prototype gear caches, and the vendor is open to Level 40 agents. Inside Echoes of Central Park, Prototype Gear is normalized at launch; Ubisoft plans to enable its full strength in the DLC at a later date (launch post).
- Expertise. Expertise raises the Grade of your weapons, gear and skill variants, and all Expertise progression is account-wide (Ubisoft, Intelligence Annex: Expertise).
- SHD Levels. They unlock once you complete the main story and reach Level 40, which also unlocks Keener’s Watch (Ubisoft Help); Warlords of New York is no longer required (Year 6 Season 1 notes). Progression is linked to your Ubisoft account and shared with your other characters after Keener’s Watch is activated; Hardcore characters keep a separate SHD progression.
- Squad. Crossplay arrives in stages. Per Ubisoft’s TUY8S3.3 notes, PC players move to the new crossplay servers on November 10, and from November 17 players on PC, PlayStation and Xbox can play together.
Our services for this: Escalation Boost, Expertise Leveling and SHD Level Boost.
