Lord Zir in Diablo 4: Loot, Lair Key and How to Beat Him

He is an initiate-tier Lair Boss, played in Torment. His arena is in The Darkened Way, east of Kyovashad in the Fractured Peaks, and the fight is built around fire. Fire is the theme, so gear for it.
Because he is a Lair Boss, a run needs a Lair Key.
Where the key comes from
Blizzard's Season of Hell's Legacy announcement lists Lair Boss Keys among the Season Rank rewards. On top of that, our product card says Lair Keys come from Blood Maiden and Helltide play.
Keep the key unused until the group is ready.
What a kill can drop
Opening his hoard gives you his loot, and Lair Bosses can drop Unique items as Mythic. Blizzard's patch notes for 3.1.1 (July 14, 2026) say a bug that stopped certain Unique sources, Lair Bosses included, from dropping Mythic was fixed.
Which Uniques sit on his table is something to check in game before you plan a build around him. Tables change between seasons, and we would rather not print a list that is out of date next patch.
Season of Hell's Legacy also adds Baal's Splinter of Destruction, which modifies The Undercity and Lair Bosses. If you run that Splinter, it affects this fight.
Solo or carry
Do it yourself if your build is already comfortable in Torment and you only need the key. Order a carry if the fire pressure kills your character or you are tired of wiping on him.
A carry does not change the odds. Two kills are two rolls, five kills are five. Order the number of attempts you want, not the item you want.

FAQ
Will I get a specific Unique? No. You buy the kill and the hoard roll. Item, affixes and Mythic quality are decided by the game.
Do I need a Lair Key? Yes. Bring your own, or pick "I don't have the resources" at checkout so the order covers it.
Who plays? By default the coach plays on your account. With Play with our team you play with the coach. Check the product card for how it works on this order.
Can I order more than one kill? Yes. Each kill is a separate attempt at the hoard.
