Players can tackle these dungeons in one of three difficulty modes: Explorer, Eternity, and Ultimatum. Explorer mode offers a more casual experience with matchmaking and easier enemies, perfect for those new to the dungeons. Eternity mode provides the standard challenge for fireteams seeking a balanced experience, while Ultimatum mode is designed for the most skilled players, featuring Grandmaster-level difficulty with the best loot rewards.

Loot and Rewards

The Rite of the Nine event introduces a refreshed and generous loot system, making it one of Destiny 2’s most rewarding dungeon experiences. Each dungeon features its classic weapon set, now updated with new perk pools and the opportunity to earn “shiny” holofoil and Adept variants. To earn the Eternal Seal, players must complete a series of Triumphs tied to the event’s featured dungeons: Spire of the Watcher, Ghosts of the Deep, and Prophecy. Key objectives include finishing all "Into the Dungeon" quests, completing the "Elegant Arsenal" weapon challenges, and most notably, finding all six hidden collectibles - two in each dungeon - across any difficulty mode. Additional Triumphs require earning Gold scores in encounters on higher difficulties and completing a full Dungeon Gauntlet run. Only by finishing all these Triumphs before the event ends can you unlock the prestigious Eternal title for your Guardian.
