Borderlands 4 Weekly Activities (Oct 22–29): Driller Hole and Golden God

Four Borderlands 4 Vault Hunters with guns drawn in a neon-lit industrial area, with a glowing blue energy shield and a purple spectral panther behind them

A new Borderlands 4 weekly rotation went live on October 22 and runs until October 29. This week you get a tougher Driller Hole in the Weekly Big Encore Boss slot, plus a Wildcard run of Old Lads that pays out the Golden God shotgun.

Here's where to find each activity, what you need to unlock it, and how to farm the guaranteed Legendary without wasting your evening.

💡
Rotation: October 22–29, next reset expected Thursday, October 29 (community guides put it at 9:00 AM PT).
Weekly Big Encore Boss: Driller Hole, a tougher variant with a better loot pool.
Weekly Wildcard Mission: Old Lads with Vampiric, Armored and Strong modifiers.
Wildcard reward: Golden God, a guaranteed Legendary Ripper shotgun you can farm.
Maurice's Black Market: Idolator's Noose, Fadefields.

How weekly activities work

Weekly activities switch on by themselves each week. Just play online and they're there. They unlock once you've finished the main campaign.

  • Where to see them: open the Map tab in your ECHO menu. The Weekly Big Encore Boss and the Weekly Wildcard Mission both show up there.
  • Weekly Big Encore Boss: a tougher version of an existing boss with a richer loot pool.
  • Weekly Wildcard Mission: a modified mission with a guaranteed Legendary that you can earn again and again until you get the roll you want.
  • Maurice's Black Market: a vending machine that moves every week. Everyone gets the same location, but the stock is different for each player.

Weekly Big Encore Boss: Driller Hole

Driller Hole lives at the bottom of Queen's Cradle in Tonnage Peel, Carcadia Burn. You first fight him in the main mission Unpaid Tab.

  1. Finish the main mission Unpaid Tab if you haven't already.
  2. Travel back to Queen's Cradle in Tonnage Peel.
  3. Pay at Moxxi's Big Encore Machine near the entrance of the boss arena to start the rematch.
  4. Run it again as many times as your cash allows.

Bring Corrosive or Incendiary damage. He's weak to both, so every run goes faster.

Weekly Wildcard Mission: Old Lads

Old Lads is the side mission where you dig Raymond's friends out of the sewers. This week it has three modifiers stacked on, and the enemies get a lot meaner.

  • Vampiric: enemies heal based on the damage they deal, and that can restore health, armor and shields.
  • Armored: enemies get an extra yellow armor bar. Corrosive or Cryo damage works best on it.
  • Strong: enemies hit harder.

The mission starts in Fades District, Dominion. Talk to Raymond at the same spot as the previous mission, Old Raymond. You need to finish that one first.

  1. Rescue Raymond's three lads from the sewer entrances marked on your map.
  2. Power the door in Raymond's old hideout with the green battery, then talk to Padraic.
  3. Leave the hideout and head back to the watermill.
  4. Beat the Order ambush to finish the mission and grab the reward.
⚠️
Vampiric enemies heal off the damage they deal to you, so every hit you eat makes the fight longer. Play from cover, and bring Corrosive or Cryo for the extra armor bars.

Golden God reward

Golden God is a Legendary shotgun made by Ripper. This week it's the guaranteed Wildcard drop, so you can rerun Old Lads until it rolls the way you like.

  • Weapon type: shotgun.
  • Manufacturer: Ripper.
  • Legendary effect: Rage. When the gun overheats, it doesn't break. It keeps firing, but eats more and more ammo.
  • Outside this week: it's a chance drop from Idolator Sol in Fortress Indomita, Idolator's Noose, Fadefields.

Weekly activities only unlock after the main campaign. If you still need to finish it, CarrySquad can help with a Borderlands 4 campaign boost.

Maurice's Black Market this week

Maurice is hiding in Idolator's Noose in Fadefields this week. You'll only see him after you've finished the main campaign and his Ultimate Vault Hunter intro mission.

  1. Fast travel to the Someday Rise Safehouse.
  2. Head south, to the west of Rattlehead Crest.
  3. Climb to the top floor of the large building on the shore.

Community guides report two Legendary items, each in four variants. You can buy one item per visit. After that the machine goes on a 30-minute cooldown, and that happens even if you walk away without buying.

Tips for this week's farm

  1. Swap to Corrosive or Incendiary gear before the Driller Hole rematch.
  2. Check your cash before you start. Every Big Encore run costs money.
  3. Take Corrosive or Cryo into Old Lads for the Armored enemies, and don't feed the Vampiric ones free hits.
  4. Keep rerunning the Wildcard until Golden God rolls the way you want.
  5. Have cash and backpack space ready before you open Maurice's machine.
